Trust retains ‘Good’ overall rating for service after CQC inspection

Mental health wards for adults at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) have retained their ‘Good’ overall rating following an inspection from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Today (Friday 14 June), the CQC published its report following an inspection of Ash Villa, a 15-bed acute mental health treatment ward for females in Greylees, near Sleaford, which took place in March this year.

The inspection took place after the CQC received concerns around medicines management on the ward, however, following the assessment, the CQC found these claims to be unsubstantiated.

The report found that people received medicines safely and that staff took the time to listen to people and involve them in every stage of their care - recognising the caring, compassionate approach and clear patient focus the team have throughout.

The overall rating for the Trust also remains 'Good'.

Sarah Connery, Chief Executive of LPFT, said:

“We always welcome scrutiny from independent organisations like the Care Quality Commission and were pleased to see that Ash Villa continues to perform well and in line with the CQC standards of care.

“Our staff deserve huge credit for maintaining high quality care for patients. However, we are never complacent, and we are absolutely committed to constantly improving our services for patients, carers and staff. We would always encourage people to get involved and let us know about their experiences good or bad.”
